Is it appropriate to take additional materials to the interview (resume, publications/papers, updated transcripts, etc)? One site suggested this, but many others do not mention it at all. What does everyone else think?

For my interviews (OUCOM/LECOM) I brought those things with me, but I never found I needed them. I noticed at the interviews that about half of the people there brought a folder of information with them, and the others didn't. No one asked for the information I had with me, nor was there a reason for me to present them. I did however mention important changes from my application. I think if you have something important like a grade improvement or an EC or a publication mentioning it and being able to communicate the information effectively about what you have done is more valuable than a piece of paper. Of course it never hurts to have it with you. however other schools may want them...so check on what others say. hope this helps.
