Guys,

How in the world do i do these destroyer problems with the following questions;

"Find the expression that represents the shaded region, as shown, bounded by the line y= 3x and y = -5x + 4."

I constantly seem similar questions in the destroyer but there is never a solution explaining the answer. I cant seem to find help on this in the KBB either.

Please help.

for these problems you have to first identify the lines. The way I do it is simply look at the slope of each line. for y=3x the slope is positive so the line goes from bottom left to top right. for y =-5x+4 the slope is -5 which is negative so the line goes from top left to right bottom. then look at the shaded area if (for example ) its above y = -5x+4 and below y = 3x the answer would be y>=-5x+4 and y<=3x

haha you guys remember highschool algebra ?
y = mx + b

dentalworks i thought of this just had issues with the shading, i watches some khan academy and talked to a friend so hopefully it works. but thanks again!

Highly recommend using Khans videos for a math refresher. Check out his video on Graphing System of Inequalities and it will answer your question.
