so i bought math destroyer and i just started it, bc i had already done the math problems in DAT destroyer. Anyway.....i feel like its more challenging than DAT destroyer questions.
Point is, its taking me FOREVER AND A HALF TO GET THROUGH ONE TEST!!!!! is this abnormal??? it took me a whole day to get through only 2 of the tests in this book.....am i screwed?? i really dont know if i can do all 10 before my exam, do you think i need to do all 10 tests?

it takes me a while too... it would take me 2 and a half hours just to get through one of them, which doesn't even include going over the answers.

so after test 4 or 5? i gave myself only 45 minutes to do them, skipping the word problems and the questions i don't know (marking them with a star as an indication of me skipping them on my answer sheet) doing them after i finish the easier questions. after the 45 minutes are up I check mark the ones I missed and the ones I didn't do, to see where I stand if it was the real test.

After this I go through the ones i missed (if blank or if i didn't have time to do them) i would try doing them first before i look at the answer to see if i would have been able to do them if time was not a problem.

I haven't taken my DAT yet, but based on my readings, seems like math destroyer is really similar to the real thing so if you can go through all of the exams. It doesn't hurt if you have the time.

If you've noticed, MATH destroyer practice problem sets are somehow repetitive also. I finished upto test #9 and then for 10 and 11, I just went over the problems that I was weak in or unfamiliar with. First, it took about an hour for me to get through one test, but later it only took me around 42-43 minutes. Few minutes left for me to go over. Think I got 5-8 questions wrong each test. I ended up getting a 20 on my real DAT. I wasn't able to finish it in time though. left like 2-3 questions behind and had to guess them.

I would say the real DAT was realllly similar to the MATH destroyer. most of them were word problems. I think I maybe had like 3 questions that were straight-up calculations.

I personally think that once you start doing MATH destroyer, you learn the skill what type of question to skip and come back for. it helped me a lot. my first DAT I got a 17 in QR section. I had only done the DAT destroyer math section then.

when are you taking your test?
I felt the same way when I first bought it, but after going over the basics and going over the destroyer once it got easier and easier.
just keep at it don't give up
good luck
