Hey guys,
so overall how close do you feel that the Math Destroyer is to the real DAT QR section? Let me know your thoughts.

The destroyer is much more difficult. If you master destroyer you will be fine. That goes for the chems too, if you can master the destroyer in general you will be very pleased with your scores.

I just took my DAT and IMO the QR section was easier than the math destroyer. the questions are very similar but the real thing seemed to have a much higher percentage of "easy" questions than any given math destroyer test.

I'd say 80% of those math destroyer problems will just reappear on the real DAT (but with different values)

Okay seriously guys?????

im going through the math destroyer(2011) right now and it seems to be like twice as easier than the actual DAT(I took the DAT once already).

From what i remember, the actual test was so much harder than this.

I actually came on SDN to check what you guys think about the math destroyer caz while i was doing them it seemed like i was doing middle school algebra stuff

Seriously.... did i just get a ridiculously hard math problems set on the real DAT? i remember i had brazillian long word problems

agreed. I haven't taken the DAT but I took the 2009 sample one...the paid one that was actually administered. The math section was waaayyy harder than DAT Destroyer and Math Destroyer.

They were very similar in difficulty. There were one or two questions on my DAT that were not covered in the Math Destroyer, but besides for that, everything was on par.

Dude..I think you got a tough QR section..I can feel your pain becos I too got a tough QR section last time around...I am relative good in MATH and will doing the MATH destroyer I was scoring around 23-25 but in the actual test could just managed 19..and those questions looked like i was taking an MATH PhD entrance exam..if they have any...

I totally agree, I wasn't expecting those essay long questions.

thats... strange you guys...
I've always considered MATH destroyer to be very close to real QR...well that was the case in 2009 (before the calculator was introduced).

I don't wanna start a rumor, is it possible the exam questions got a little harder since the introduction of the calculator?

I took the DAT this past November and the Math Destroyer was very very representative if not harder than the actual DAT. This by far is the one and only thing you need to prepare for the DAT QR!! If you know Destroyer inside and out you can do well on the QR section. The word problems are shorter than those in the destroyer.
