i've done test 1~8 and just finished test 11 on math destroyer..
and I've noticed how hard test 11 is compared to test 1- 10...
i got 24/40 for test 11, and i've timed myself...
it's really hard, i think i had to skip more than half of the problem, and then went back to them, but still wasnt able to finish them.
i have test in two days... 😱
according to the sample conversion table, this score equals 15 !!! omg omg TT_TT
approximately, how many questions appear on the real dat that's like problems from test 11 and 12?

i rly hope the real one is easier than 11 and 12.. please

You will do fine! I didn't finish that book, but I did up to test 5 I think and used the Math in the regular DAT destroyer and I got an 18 on that section. I ran out of time and just started clicking answers after #35. The questions in the Destroyer seemed much harder than the ones on the DAT. Pace yourself, mark questions that you are not sure of so if you have time you can come back, and BREATHE! I hope that helps.

The last two tests aren't really like the material on the DAT. I'd say the first 9 or 10 are much more indicative. If you look at test 12, it's ridiculous.

How many out of 40 are you guys able to complete in 45 minutes for the "normal" 1-10 Math Destroyer tests?

40 in 45 minutes for these questions really seems like a stretch. I've only been able to get through about 25-29 of them in 45 minutes. I'm improving my speed, but just wanted to see if anyone else has really been able to get through them all in the allotted time.

i thought topscore was more reflective of the dat than the math destroyer. i got through..barely test 1..before i gave up and just used the dat destroyer's math problems as a guide. math destroyer was too hard and discouraging!! another problem for me was that the dat is computerized while the math destroyer was not. a big difference! therefore, its harder to scan the test for easy questions and skip around to find the easy points. i found myself skipping around, when i know i wouldnt have that option on the dat. my strategy was to hit the 'next' button on topscore to skip problems and only answer the ones i could do quickly. percentages, basic formulas, algebra, guessing someone's age, and other straightforward problems. i went back later to the medium level problems. doing those and guessing on the long complex ones was enough to get me an 18 on the QR. not great, but good enough for me. i wasnt about to waste time studying for QR when i could build my orgo or bio skills!

i feel i spent way much time on qr.. having only 1.5 days left.
i was actually gonna do one more qr, but decided to just study for science.

The entire length of Exam 11 or 12 is very unrealistic compared to the real QR section. Especially those really lengthy word problems in the beginning of Exam 12... you probably won't even see it in that form.

Use it as a guide - it is true that Exam 11 is not on par with the real QR, but you should at least know how to do them. I had good 3-4 mixture-word problems that were just as tough as ones in Exam 11. If you are aiming at like 22+, forget about timing it but just know how to do them.

On last 2 tests in math destroyer i got 24/40 and 26/40 in the allotted time- which includes a lot of guessing... on the first ten tests I scored in the mid 30's once i got the hang of it-u might see 1 or 2 max of the crazy problems in tests 11/12 on ur real dat. so if ur averaging say a 32/40 on the first ten, ur probably in line for a 30-32/40 on the real thing...I was getting ~35-37/40 avg on first ten tests and ended up with a 24 qr on the real DAT which is prob about a 35/40. So dont worry about those last two tests!

I got 18 on QR on the real DAT. I was happy with that as with Kaplan I was getting 13, 14...not good. At the end of the day, I think the schools look at other things so I just prayed that they wouldn't use that against me.

I just went over the ones I got wrong in the Destroyer, I asked a lady who teaches junior high math, and searched on the internet for some more help. I think by now you should have taken the test? Any luck?

yeaa i recently took the test, and jeez its feels great to be done. haha
im rly happy with my qr score,even though it's not perfect, and math destroyer def. helped me out a ton !
