I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for but... It's taking me forever to get through the first test. I knew I was bad at math but I can't do a single one of these problems without looking at the back of the book and on multiple problems like 8,9, and 10 I still can't get the answer even after looking at the the solutions.

So... how should I approach this? I feel like i'm wasting my time.

Don't get discouraged. 🙂 When I first did the Math Destroyer, it took me forever, too. You are just getting a feel for how the problems are going to be asked. Familiarize your with the formulas and equations that are provided in the front. The more practice tests you take in the Math Destroyer, the faster you'll get. I ended up finished a practice test in 45 minutes when I went through the book a second time. You'll get there! Make sure you know how to solve rate problems on the actual DAT. The Math Destroyer has 1-2 rate problems per practice test!

Trust me, I've been exactly where you are at too. I ended up getting a math tutor to teach me basic math concepts and he assigns homework problems from the Math destroyer. Now I am able to go through a whole math test without flipping to the back of the book every problem. I still suck at math, just not as much.

Wow, I was feeling hopeless too....I placed out of my college math requirements from high school credit, so it's been about six years. Whew! Thanks for posting everyone, I know I'm not alone!

I didn't do very well on my first math destroyer test, so I went back and watched the second half of chads QR videos to familiarize myself with some more of the topics. But I still have a lot of work to do in respect to QR, so don't worry, other people are in the same boat!
