Wondering if there are any websites that are good to study from for the math section?? Or maybe any books that are really good at covering the right material?? What exactly are the things in math I should focus on too? Thanks

Just do some Kaplan. I think there is basic calculus on the PCAT, but nothing to difficult.

Hey nas,

If I remember correctly, you were going to take the Jan PCAT, so this may be too little too late for your situation (unless you plan on taking it again).

Anyway, I found the Schaum's Outlines for Precalculus and College Algebra (2 separate books) to be the most helpful. There are hundreds of practice problems and worked out solutions for them. The probability sections in these two books are also much more detailed than Kaplan's. I'd still use Kaplan for the calc stuff (still not great, but good enough for what you need).

Mostly, Schaum's helped me by giving me plenty of practice problems, great explanations and helped me build up my speed and stamina both. Only downside to Schaum's is that there are very few word problems. I'd suggest pulling out an old precalc/college algebra textbook for these, since many of the PCAT questions are word problem based.

Another suggestion is to do your multiplication and addition tables. I know this is elementary (literally), but you'll be surprised how much faster and more accurately you can do calculations when you practice this.

If anyone's interested, I've got the Schaum's Outlines still. PM if interested in obtaining them.
