So i have been studying for the DAT but the one subject that is really pulling me down is Math. im really rusty on the math ( i dont even know i passed out of it) and have been trying to look for a really good book to push my grade up. i have a kaplan book and a barrons, but does anyone have any suggestions?! im taking my exam the second week of september!

as i posted on another thread... check out the "how to solve word problems" book series... they have different areas... shows you easy methods on solving all types of math and even chemistry problems... they are a series of 10 or so... I would suggest the How to solve.... Chemistry, algebra, mathematics, and geometry.... those are the titles.... they are put out by McGraw Hill publishing... depending on when your test date is.... and where you're at...try barnes and noble or borders... but you can always look on Amazon.... they're about $10 each... but i think worth it... I take my test next friday and I feel like I can tackle any math problem... good luck!

also, as mentioned in other posts, the GRE math books are good as well! I'm not sure if you took the kaplan course, but the math subject tests in there are WAY harder than the real thing. also, topscore math is a good tool for practice, the level of difficulty is similar to the real dat. hope this helps!

I also thought that Kaplan's math was much harder than the real DAT.
Also, if you don't know the math... like you have no understanding of how to solve the problem, even after looking at the solution, then you should turn to books to learn it but if you're just rusty on the stuff, like you know the material, but it just takes too much time to do it or figure out what exactly to do, then you should just do lots of practice problems. It took me a while to get used to the QR questions too... cuz it's not very advanced but it's just been a while since I've solved those kind of problems so yeah, after lots of practice problems, it came to me~
