hey guys,

I feel like this is a simple algebra question, but I'm not getting the answer.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Question:
Which of the following is x equal to if
y = (4x-5)/(3x+7)

Answer:

(7x+5)/(4-3y)

Thank you!!

1. y=(4x-5)/(3x+7)
2. y(3x+7)=(4x-5)... Multiply both sides by 3x+7
3. 3xy+7y=4x-5........ Distribute
4. 3xy+7y+5=4x....... Add 5 to both sides
5. 7y+5=4x-3xy ..... Subtract 3xy from both sides
6. 7y+5=x(4-3y) ..... Isolate x
7. (7y+5)/(4-3y)=x ... Divide both sides by (4-3y)
