Hey guys,
Most dental schools have a 6 credit hour requirement for English and I had a question pertaining to this. I personally waived out of the first mandatory English course at my university (a 3 credit hour class) but I still got credit for it without having to take it. It is on my transcript, with a "P" for the grade. The second mandatory English course was not optional; every student had to take it no matter what their AP score was. That was also a 3 credit hour course and I received a regular letter grade for it. Have I fulfilled the English requirement for dental schools? Anyone in a similar situation? I would rather not take another English class and would rather take a science class in place of it to strengthen my app and prepare myself more for the rigors of dental school...but I don't want to get my acceptance rescinded if my school(s) won't take the AP credit.
