Maximum LORs in MSAR

What happens if you exceed a school's stated maximum LOR requirement in the MSAR? Can you still go over the maximum if you submit a committee letter packet? Or would they just read the committee letter?

I'm freaking out a bit because I have 7 LORs (that includes the committee letter) but obviously, it's only one entry on AMCAS. Not like there's anything I can do about it now...but I was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

Committee letters trump any LOR requirement. I also had a total of 7 LORs (six professor letters were required for my committee process) in my committee packet, and it was not a problem.

Yeah, I just checked with my pre-med office and they said it was fine.
