I gave the EE in May 2005 & got a score of 85%.I believe that u shld be strong in clinical subjects to score good in EE.The exam I gave was full of Q's from O.P.For exam I read thorouly NBDE1&2 released papers & dental Decks along With theory books in basics. As I am a fresh graduate I was clear in my clinicals.
For the admission in Canada along with good marks in exam U should be good on pacticals too. So,this is my personal advice if ur cicumstances allows u give NBDE-1also.
Hope this Helps.

I am preparing for EE too. Pheonix please tell us how diffucult was the clinical part if you have taken it. What areas are tested? Did you get the invitation to the interview and how was it?

I would be happt to help u all.
This exam is quite unpredictable. In may 2005,The year I gave was an easy one& the highest %age was 93%.But the exam before & after that was difficult as people say & the highest %age was 84% & 88% respectively.
In may 2005,the clinical was O.k and I felt no. of q's was from prostho part. FPD.
As far as I am concerned I applied in 4 college- UWO,UFT,Dalhousie & mannitoba & I got a callfrom 1st 3 colleges.I am on the waiting list for Dalhousie & UFT.
In UWO,there are 12 seats & to get admission there u shld be quite good in practical like cutting crowns ,Mod's on manneqin teeth. If u clear there practical test which is called PLA then they take ur interview.
In UFT & Dalhousie there are 25 & 9 seats resp. They take an interiew along with clinical test.

I am very concerned about the clinical part because I did not have practice more than 3 years and come to Canada just after finishing the dental school. So actually I think I am not very strong in practice. Can you recommend something or some courses and what aspects of of the clinical knowledge are tested? Is it something advanse?

Hi

University of Western offers a course known as restorative review course which I think is a good review as well as will give you a general idea of what to expect in clinical exams in Canada. They have it in June but to register you should get in touch with them as early as possible as the seats get filled really fast. Information regarding this is available on their website.

Hope this is helpful

Yes that's a good course. It's a 5 day review course that is helpful+ after u get a good score in ACFD, u can buy a system & practice at Home.
