Hello,

I am from Alabama. I was trying to sign up for MCAT may session, but I didn't see Alabama or any other state in state option. Does that mean Alabama is not offering May session or are they full?

Thank you.

The only time MCAT is administered in May is May 22nd. It's likely that all spots had been booked already. I would suggest registering for a future date first and check more frequently closer to the actual exam date. Many people drop out a few days before the exam when they don't feel prepared.

I am trying to apply for 2016 DO school and this will be my first time taking MCAT. Is the June session going to be very late?

You will have your MCAT score by end of July if you take it in June. While it's by no means late, I would suggest having all your transcript/LORs/PS ready by then and ready to submit as soon as the score is released. July is when the AACOMAS starts picking up on volume, and it may very well take at least one and half month for your primary application to be verified. You are realistically looking at early September when your primary application is released to each school.

If you are consistently scoring 30+ on mock test (or the equivalent percentile), you could opt to take the May MCAT should a spot be open closer to the test date.
