I took the April MCAT and put down that I planned to take the August in AACOMAS, but should I release the April score now or wait till I get the August scores? They're not even going to consider my application anyway if I'm still waiting on scores, right?

i think that maybe you should send it out because i know someone who took the april, and just took the august but still she got an interview. so maybe they look at it to see if they like your april score.. and if it's good then they could possibly grant you an interview?

they will put your app on hold until the aug score comes out. i got a crappy april score and got letters saying that i'm on hold at most places. 1 place (tucom-nv) flat out rejected me so far, but i'm complete and holding at 13 others.

How do you update your mcat scores once your app has already been sent?

what is considered "crappy"? is it a score below that school's mean? or is it a score below 20?
aacomas just sent my application to my designated schools this past sat but i also took mcat in aug after not doing as well in april as i would have liked; wondering now if i'll be put on hold until mcat scores are release in oct🙁

crappy = low 20's, i guess. i think most schools' official/unofficial cutoff are about 20. i know for a fact my mcat isnt competitive, but it made the cut-off and i know my gpas met the cutoff (above 3.0 in both cases, i'm guess). by no means do i believe that i'm out of the water, i guess i'm just gonna wait till the smoke of the august mcat clears in october to determine my fate.

it sucks that it all comes down to this 1 damn score

i feel the same way about the mcat.
but we both made the gpa/mcat cut off so maybe we'll be surprised and get interviews/acceptances before oct.
best of luck.
