Hi guys, I've been debating whether I should apply for accommodations for the MCAT. I've recently undergone a right posterior labrum repair of my right shoulder. As a result, I won't have full use of my right arm until later this year, but I plan on taking the MCAT in March. I am right handed, and as of right now I cannot perform any tasks with my right arm (even typing and writing). What are your opinions on this subject. I know that applying for accommodations is a difficult process for the AAMC. I am afraid that it will count against me in my applications.

This is an irrational fear.
Do not take a career-deciding, high stakes exam until you are 100% ready.

didn't they remove the essay portion of the MCAT? it should just be clicking now.
I suppose if you need to take notes.... just postpone it a few weeks.

I'm already 23 years old and I don't want to postpone medical school any longer.

Postpone if you need to write and can’t write. If you don’t do that then you just click with your left hand.
