I have just recently decided that I would like to go to dental school (vs. medical school) due to a lot of recent shadowing and experience. I have taken the MCATs and currently have the 2005 edition of Kaplan's MCAT comprehensive review book. Because I really don't have the time (or money) I was wondering if this book would be similiar enough to use instead of going out and buying a DAT version. Does anyone know if the MCAT is very similiar to the DAT (aside from an added section in math)? I sure hope it's easier!

You'll probably need to purchase something in order to prepare for the perceptual ability section.

If you don't have time to go buy a book, I'm thinking you might be out of luck considering you probably won't have time to study at all

There are similarities, but the PAT (perceptual ability) takes some time to learn as far as format. Although I'm sure it's possible to do well without studying it, I would strongly recommend buying DAT-specific material.
