So I'm wondering what people think of taking the 2015 MCAT without college psychology, but a 4 on the AP exam (of course, this was 5 years ago)

It can be done, just allocate plenty of time for self guided study. Use the resources recommended on the MCAT forum (I personally really like Khan Academy, and its free)

I didn't take a college psychology or sociology class, got a 4 or 5 on AP Psych (can't remember), and scored a 131 (99th percentile) on the MCAT Psychology/Sociology section. This wasn't without a ton of self-study though.

I got a 128 on it which is know is only like 85%ile but I never took psych or sociology and never took AP psych or any psych in high school at all. Honestly this is the easiest one to self study in my opinion. I used the Exam Krackers and TPR books for psych (both on purpose to get more broad view)

I got a 130 and only took a sociology course freshman year and got a 4 on the AP psych exam. Like Pharoah, there was a ton of self-study that went into it.

I had pretty much the same results. 5 on AP Psych and 130 on P/S. It's not hard to self-study psych/soc. The concepts are fairly easy to grasp. The tricky things is that some of them seem really similar with minute distinctions. However, there are a lot of resources online to help illustrate the concepts that give you trouble.

I didn't take any psych or soc in high school or college and scored a 131 through self study (and copious use of the Khan Academy). You can certainly do it!

I never took college psych and did well (128+). You do need to self study for it though, don't just take it cold
