I registered to take the July 13th MCAT in case I wasn't happy with my May 31st scores. However, I've decided to not re-take, and I tried to cancel the test date online, but there isn't an option. If I don't show up to the testing center, will anything show on my record, or will it be an automatic void?

Personally, I'd call up AAMC to see if there's something that can be done about the cancellation.

They should honor your cancellation request..Weren't the scores originally slated for a July 3rd release? If so, that would've given you time to cancel.

i actually called about this a few weeks ago. I was told by the person i spoke with that u can cancel any time before ur exam date, but if its later than 2 weeks before than u dont get any refund. So if u cant do it online, i suggest doing what the other poster said and call them. u shudnt have a problem canceling, but dont expect any money back.

What if I'm unable to make it to my testing appointment?
You will be able to cancel the scheduled session, and receive a 50 percent refund on your registration fee by cancelling your registration through the web registration system up to seven (7) days before the exam. If you discover that you cannot attend your test session fewer than seven days prior to the scheduled exam date, a refund will not be available.

Before taking the MCAT CBT, the AAMC requires that all test takers read "MCAT Essentials."

If you were not able to cancel before 2359 hours EST on July 6, 2007, you are no longer eligible for a refund under any circumstance. AAMC has indicated that no extensions or appeal process will be available.

On July 6, 2007, if you visited the website where you registered: https://services.aamc.org/20/mcat/ and logged in and clicked on "How to Cancel" you would have been taken to a page to prompt you to type your password to cancel the exam.

If you are asking "What can I do now since I can no longer get my money back?" You have 2 options: 1) Take the exam and click "submit" at the end or 2) Follow with plan 1), but click "void" at the end.

Always be sure to read the required reading that AAMC dictates upon check out of registering. Such information will provide relevant information regarding your examination and policies concerning thereafter.

Best regards.

I did read MCAT essentials when I registered, and I know I can no longer get a refund. I was just wondering if I don't show up to the testing center at all, will my exam automatically be cancelled?

Dear user neurodork:

Please consult your registered Prometric Testing Center where you registered for their policies on "no show." If you know the address of the testing center, you can do a search on Google to pull up their phone number. Contact them Monday around 9 to see how they will respond to a "no show."

Best regards.
