MCAT - Updated MCAT is coming. In 2003, the MCAT will change slightly. A few organic chemistry questions will be replaced by questions on DNA
and genetics, the Verbal Reasoning (VR) section will have five fewer questions, it will be possible to achieve a 14 or 15 on the VR, and a
total score will be reported (e.g., 45T). The changes are subtle, but may provide a better opportunity for many students interested in medicine. http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/start.htm

I know my Bio would have gone up with a few less ochem questions! It seemed like 70% of my test was straight ochem. Very annoying.

Genetics is my primary interest and didn't show up once on my MCAT. The new MCat sounds much better.

the new mcat will be easier. I hope they keep the 85 min. for the verbal and the bio section will a little bit easier with few orgo questions.

I don't get how they can decrease the # of questions for verbal and come out w/ a 14 and 15. I thought they would add another passage or something to make the score spread wider, rather than take away questions. strange.....

Hmm..my MCAT last August was drenched with Genetics questions...I loved it...but wonder why I didn't get a higher score...and Ochem! Jeez, I love ochem...I don't know why people hate it so much..Guess i'm weird like that!
