MCAT Date Dilemma!

Hey guys I wanted to know some of your opinions regarding when I should take my MCAT. I'm currently enrolled in TPR until July 31st and I'm wondering if i should take it August 7th assuming I will be already prepared by then or August 21st where I should do more fine tuning and practice exams? In addition, I previously had done SN2ED but is there anyone who combined a specific studying program along with TPRs schedule? I'm just trying to be efficient. thank you!

If you take it August 7th, you will get your MCAT score around September 7th. By the time med schools finally get your MCAT and send you secondaries, they will already start interviewing people. It would be a bit before they even started to look at you app. Your chances of getting interviews at that point are very low, unless you just kill your MCAT. You should take it when you feel ready and apply next cycle.

Yes I am well aware of that. Im taking the MCAT this year and applying next cycle. I just don't want to make a mistake thinking I'll be ready by august 7th when I should be using extra time to practice and take it the 21st.

Well, I have already been preparing for the MCAT since january and I would like to get it over with before we transition to the new MCAT 2015.

Definitely the 21... The extra time will likely be valuable and more practice exams can't hurt! I'd do it then - right before the fall semester starts (if you're still in school)

Definitely agree. I took a TPR course that finished on July 20th or something like that, and I took the MCAT August 22nd. It was really great to have another month, because it allowed me to take a bunch of practice tests, review my notes, learn things that I felt the course taught me poorly, and fine-tune areas that I was still struggling with.
