Is one’s Mcat experience indicative if medical school is meant for one? Meaning if one is not enjoying mcat studying and dreading studying for mcat they are not meant for medicine and medical school may not be right for them? Mcat is just 1 of the many exams one has to take to be a physician if one is dreading the mcat so much than what about all the future exams one has to take in the future.

I think there are a lot of confounding factors. You may be suffering from low self esteem or anxiety. Or you may simply not be a good test taker.

However, if you don’t like studying for the MCAT because you hate science, then that’s cause for concern. Because at the end of the day, being a physician requires a competent understand of the workings of the human body and love of learning scientific material.

But if you simply just don’t like taking exams, I would consider doing some self-exploration as to why you feel this way.

One specific pattern I have noticed is that people struggling with their communication skills are usually those who hate exams the most. Many times they are smart people that are very good at understanding scientific concepts and applying them but have a difficult time comprehending test questions and articulately answering them. Over time, their repeatedly poor test taking experience causes them to hate exams.

If you fit into that category, I would say that you should use it as motivation to inspire yourself and to improve your reading and communication skills. Don’t let your weaknesses define who you are and what you can achieve.

No. Next question.

I feel like I study a lot more and a lot harder in medical school than I did during my MCAT studying, but I enjoy it more because it seems a lot more sensical/relatable to what I want to accomplish academically.

MCAT sux, yo

MCAT studying is just making sure you understand very few but generalizable concepts for things that you have already learned at a much greater depth. Medical school is learning vastly more concepts that you really have not/will not learn in depth. The two are not comparable.

most people (myself included) don't enjoy studying for the MCAT. i wouldn't worry about it

I was the inverse. I enjoyed the mcat and application of concepts. Medical school is not very conceptual and has been more about remembering tiny details a lot more.
