I tried the top search, but didn't get close to the DAT.

I have Kaplan, Princeton, Audio Osmosis, etc. for the MCAT. I teach for Princeton and the rest were given to me by friends who are in Med. School now.

I plan on something like Top Score for practice tests, but will these MCAT materials be enough for the sciences?

Thanks,

Mud

I got hand-downs from med students to. IMO, the best materials from these mcat items are the Princeton Hyperlearning (for review) and 1001 questions in gen chem by jonathan orsay.

I dont like the bio/orgo for mcat materials- its more passage stuff.

I had the MCAT examkrackers books when I was studying for the DAT and I agree with beatsdre, although it went over a lot of the same concepts I think its possible it may not go over all the general info you need in random biology like ecology and taxonomy. The Orgo was good in the examkrackers though. Good Luck

I've taken both the MCAT and DAT. I can tell you you're definitely going to want a DAT-oriented bio guide or a review book on the entire subject. The MCAT is much more conceptual understanding than the DAT. Often you'll get pertinent background info that will help you answer passage questions. You won't get any of that on the DAT, so you have to have the subjects down pat. Both exams cover the same topics on ochem and gchem so you may be fine on that, though tbh examcrackers is what I'd consider break reading. It's a pretty small book. I remember some of those little Kracker notes saying something along the lines of "you don't need to know much beyond this for the real thing." No. Know it all, and if examkrackers doesnt have the info, get another book.
