is it a good idea to study biology for DAT with kaplan's MCAT biology?

there are many materials related to MCAT stuff out there.. but not many related to DAT.. so I am planning to use MCAT stuff to study.

what do you guys think? any advice?
(i'm gonna take my first DAT next april 2010) thanx-!

wow, you are more planned ahead than i was! i used MCAT materials to study chem and ochem and i feel like they helped me out alot, especially the conceptual gen chem questions. however, these materials were only part of the collection of sources i used and you shouldnt limit yourself to only mcat books because as you will read in some posts, the DAT covers material not covered by the MCAT.

IMO, two different exams, two different study goals. MCAT really tests understanding and situational application to passages. DAT is all about knowing the material. If you can, stick to DAT materials. For bio in particular, MCAT has more focus on human physiology and nothing on taxonomy and ecology
