The MCAT offers their "official study guide" for $30, and I was just wondering if it was worth the money and time? I've been selectively buying books (EK, BR, etc.) seperately and came across the MCAT's official book. Is it worth getting?

Thanks y`all

I think it's worth it when you buy it bundled with either a practice test or MSAR. By itself, it's a little too expensive. Then again, it contains the most accurate practice passages you can buy. Unfortunately, there's only around a full length test's number of passages. So get the bundle.

I would buy the bundled. I used to rely on EK, Kaplan, and TBR, but now with an official study guide (damn it, lucky bastards) from the testing source itself, I think it would be extremely helpful, most likely because its passages are the most accurate prediction of your actual store.

The only bad thing about it is that it's way too short, with much too few passages. AK has a whole series of books dedicated to problems and passages, and TBR has a practice test for each separate section. So unless you buy it with practice tests, it's not really worth its price, in my opinion.

BUT if you have the practice tests, I think you'll have it down pretty well.
