HI, I am enrolled in the Kaplan course and I have taken the tests and the physical sciences is a bear. No matter how hard I study I find I can only get a 9 on it . Usually, I get 8s. Are there any topics in physics and chemistry one should focus on more than others?? Also, Do the MCAT people look at the total score or do they heavily weight each section individually/?

One option is to do a LOT more Kaplan and AAMC timed tests, and review the explanations after. There's no way of knowing exactly what they're going to throw at you, so gut it out, and cover as much as possible. I found that the Kaplan simulations became progressively difficult (until the last one, which was a softball.) They do this so the real MCAT appears easier in comparison. As to your second question, the three sections are scored separately. Break a leg!
