Hello,

I'm wondering when did AAMC changed number of questions from 77 to 52 for Physical and Biological Sciences and verbal from 59 to 40?

Having said that, did AAMC deleted some questions from the practice tests to match the numbers/time allowed?

When was practice test 11 administered?

I just picked last test which probably is the latest.

Also, are all these tests are real tests, i.e. are these whole tests as they were administrated or the passages were picked up from real tests and AAMC made equivalent tests for practice purposes. I guess you would not know..

If you took practice tests a while ago, do you remember if it was 77 questions or it has always had 52 questions for PS and BS?

Thanks,

The switch from 77 to 52 questions occurred when the MCAT made the transition to being a CBT back in 2007. Yes, all of the AAMC practice tests were actual MCATs; however, some of them are VERY old. Probably around the early-mid 90s for some of them. For these old tests, the AAMC adjusted them to fit the new CBT format by taking out questions.

Fortunately, AAMC #11 isn't that old and is most likely around 2-3 years old.
