MCAT timing for this cycle

My mcat is on August 9. Just in case if I feel I didn't do so well, should I schedule for the September 12 exam (last one of the year) or wait for my score and submit my apps with a pending mcat retake for January? I'm applying for this cycle.

Your decision. Depends on what you were averaging on the test and if you feel you didn't do as well on the practice tests. Retaking in January would be fine though I think as long as you can boost the score at least 2-3 points.
