I am an international student on F1 student visa. I also have a pending adjustment of status to get a green card and it will take approximately 10 more months or possibly shorter/longer for me to receive the green card. I am planning to take the MCAT exam this coming August or September. When I register for the MCAT exam, do they ask for my status here in the US? Some medical schools do not accept international students, so I want to apply in May 2020 (Hopefully I will have the green card by that time). I do not want to wait till I have the green card to take the MCAT because it will be too late to apply.

Also, what are some good MCAT prep options? Thank you.

Congrats on getting the green card process going, it will help your chances. Ofc don’t apply until you get that all complete. As for MCAT, you don’t need to wait to take that unless you feel unprepared. Status means nothing there, if even nec. Keep MCAT test result expiration in mind as well.

Regarding prep, it depends on how you feel you study best; i.e. alone, in-class structure, video/image-focused, etc. Read around on this thread for prep ideas and options. There’s troves of information. MCAT reddit might also be a good resource but take it with a grain of salt. Best of luck my international buddy!
