MCAT's are (typically) valid for 3 years, but does month matter?

I know MCAT's are valid for no more than 3 years before matriculation, but does the date of the MCAT matter or only the year?

For instance, I took the september 18 MCAT in 2014, so will this be valid for the 2016-2017 cycle for schools that have a 3-year policy? (I assume that some schools starts after september 18)

The month matters too. For each school you have to read the fine print.

And for some schools it's only good for two years. For a handful, it's been good 4-10 years (though the new MCAT might have changed that).

The MSAR will have the specific dates for each school within which the MCAT is acceptable for this cycle.

Maybe the policy hadn't yet been voted on at the time of the poll, but in general, I agree, and the form should be easy to update as new data becomes available. Inquiring Minds Need to Know.
