MCC of death in Acromegaly

FA says Heart Failure is the MCC of death in agromegaly.

Can anyone explain this?

Acromegaly is due to insulin like growth factor-1, which cause abnormal growth of different parts of the body. This includes the heart, it overgrows it's normal blood supply, and then fails to pump adequately, leading to heart failure.

FYI, the most common cause of death of any condition is heart failure. Their mechanisms to eventually heart failure may be different, but that's the top answer to pick.
