Is any one going to MCW this fall? I'd love to hear from you all. I'll probably be there unless a miracle happens and I get into my dream school. I'll be happy at MCW anyway.

good luck on your interview.

I didn't attend the social(or whatevery they're calling it now!)...but supposedly its a fun way to get to know upper class students. I think they (students) take you out to area bars and local med student hang-outs. If you'll be there in time..might be fun to check it out..🙂

Moskeeto=jackass who can't control himself around alcohol.

I'm sure I can control myself, but I've had one of those weeks were I'm swearing that I'll never drink again.

I went to the Thursday night thing to get the free shuttle ride and for a free place to sleep (my plane ticket was expensive). There was pizza and students answered questions. As informative as you want it to be i guess.

One thing I may wanna warn you about. At this late date, you are likely interviewing for a waitlist spot. HOWEVER, they accept a lot of students off the waitlist.

My interview was low stress and a lot of fun. I really liked MCW.

hmmm....if you end up going to MCW you'll have to be careful. From what my friends tell me, MCW students are big on bars, especially after exams! That might be normal for most med students though!

I will see you guys there! If you guys are moving in from out of state, when are you planning of doing so? Also, does anybody know if there is a good apartment complex in Milwaukee, that's affordable and closer to the Med school?

i don't know of any housing opportunities yet. not really sure how to go about it as i am in california. i was planning to drive east in my bat mobile sometime in the beginning of august, hopefully with housing already secured.

you wanna live in milwaukee? me, i wanna live as close to the school as possible...no commuting to school for me...a nice walk or bike ride would be great. can't wait!

I am fairly sure I will be at MCW this fall. Still waiting on one school, but even then I am still leaning toward MCW.

nope, sorry maple, I'm still a proud member of the "no acceptances yet club" *sighhhhhhhhh*, and after my last interview on friday, things probably won't be changing.
As far as going to bars, thats fine with me, but the night before an interview, it worries me that i just couldn't trust myself. Especially around a bunch of people I don't know. my girlfriend does all my thinking for me and if she's not around, i go stupid pretty quickly.

I've been told that its best to look for housing in the summer (around june-july). There wouldn't be any openings right now...way too early. I'll be moving out late july myself...hope to see you all there!🙂

Moskeeto...you've still got plenty of time to get accepted..to MCW or wherever you've been waitlisted. I was pulled from several waitlists myslef last year. Just hang in there..waiting sucks...but it'll be ok in the end!😎
