I am planning on getting my PhD, in neuroscience, two years from now. And I am going to apply to med school next year.
My s&cGPA are 3.45, BioPhysics & Math, from Berkley, and my current grad GPA is 3.7, from NYMC.
My MCAT?s are V8, P11, B11.
I heard that some medical schools like applicants with PhDs, do you guys know any medical school that is known for that?
And what do you guys think my chances are in getting into a top ten medical school with these stats?

I guess I should be grateful if I get in anywhere.

1. do you have first author publications? if yes try vandy. for some reason they like phd applicants with a berkeley bs.

2. why did you go to nymc for your grad school? i'm assuming you went there in thinking that they would accept you as a med student after the phd.

3. your verbal is kind of low. you need to bring it up to at least a 10 if you want to get into top ten med schools.

1- I have one first author and one second author publication. And are you being sarcastic about the berkley thing. I loved undergrad, they were the best years of my life.
2- I wanted to live in New York, and I was so late that I had no I chance in getting accepted anywhere else. I was shocked later to find out that it was not in the downtown area. I kind of hate New York now, they screwed me!
3- I know, but the thing is if I do re-take the thing I might bomb the Physical or the Orgo part, thats my only fear. And besides I don't have time studying for the damn thing.
I hate this whole process. Why won't they just give me the MD and get it over with. I'll pay good money. I swear!
