Of course I realized that Tigerz is "happy" that I didn't get a residency yet. It's pretty sad, not to mention psychopathic, given he/she couldn't get into a medical school in the US in the first place. Those, again, are the facts.

I feel sorry for your patients.

The fact that Tigerz_Fan is a resident and an IMG. S/he knew how to work the system, which you obviously couldn't figure out.

They shouldn't double dip, and if they are allowed to apply to BOTH MD and DO residencies, so should MD's if they so choose. It's that simple. As scientists, we are supposed to be able to explore a problem and see the facts. Maybe you missed that for some reason.

I will say this AGAIN. THERE ARE NO OSTEOPATHIC RESIDENCIES AT MY INSTITUTION! She is a DO in an MD derm program.

Do not presume to think you know anything about me, little girl. I have no chip here. At all. My only problem is with you and your attitude.

MSQ, I'm thinking more and more you might be a troll. You are now on a solid streak of starting inflammatory threads only to have them eventually locked.

While I agree with you that it isn't fair that unfilled DO spots can't be filled by unmatched MD students, there's very little wisdom in starting such a loaded thread.

Before you begin to argue that your very 1st post was not inflammatory, the fact that you answered your own question after 2 posts confirms to me (and others as well) that your thread wasn't mean to stimulate discussion but rather instigate.

Not to be mean, but there was a reason you couldn't get into med school here in the first place. For someone who couldn't get in and had to go abroad, it's pretty sad you'd try to make fun of someone who simply made a mistake on a rank list. It's also pretty sad that you feel so omnipotent with a foreign degree. So if you feel that because you got a primary care residency in the US being an IMG because you filled out your rank list is some sort of incredible accomplishment, think again.

The one with the attitude and chip on the shoulder is you, not me. I simply stated the facts.

Oh and there is a reason why >50% or so or IMG's DON'T match and why they took the biggest hit this year in the match, which will only get worse. Those are the facts.

I'm not a troll at all. I don't feel it's fair for DO's to double dip, as others have said as well. No intention of instigating at all. I'm outspoken, yes, and most on here, DO's included, have agreed that it's not fair.

Nevertheless, I don't feel that it's appropriate for someone like John Deere to constantly come here and harass. I don't insult others or call them names. I didn't say DO's were somehow bad or anything of the sort, simply that it wasn't fair for them to double dip.

Those are the facts! He/she was not admitted to US schools. He/she is so hateful and happy about me not getting a residency because of a rank list problem, that's out of line. I'm not happy that they couldn't get in the US.

Are you unable to understand English? Being happy about someone not matching because of a mistake is hateful. Period. The facts are that Tigerz couldn't get into med school in the US because he/she wasn't qualified. FACTS! See the difference? Understand?

What negative thing did I say about DO's? The only thing I said is that they should not double dip, and even DO's agreed.

This is too funny, the classic joke poster MSQ is on again. Shouldn't you be studying for Step 2 cs- or reading what you should bring to the exam.
Wants to match into derm, and hasn't taken step 2..what a joke. You are a total disaster
