Hello everyone.
Great threads around here, very helpful.
I'm an MD, have an EU license, and an EU passport. Right now I am in the middle if an internship outside Europe and would like to move to Sweden, then starting urology residency. I learned a lot from this forum and understands the importance of speaking the language- I'm actually starting private language lessons. Some things still have to be cleared...
Are there any foreign doctors here who would like to give their opinion about this move?
Is urology a competitive residency?
Do Swedish doctors tend to go abroad to do their fellowships or sub-specialty?
I am planning on going to Sweden soon to visit some hospitals and talk directly to department directors- any advice on where to start? What is considered foreign-friendly area/hospital?
Thanks
