After SMP or SMP type program, and applying at MD school, is it fairly common to be asked for LORs from the SMP?

After SMP or SMP type program, and applying at MD school, is it fairly common to be asked for LORs from the SMP?

Nobody will ask for a particular LOR. They just look at what you submit.

I think it would be awkward to not submit an LOR out of an SMP. It's the most relevant academic experience on the app.
