I've finished the first three years of medical school and have been taking a leave of absence due to some personal problems. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether any PA programs might accept my previous work so I could transfer in, pass licensing exams and potentially be done with school with the PA degree right away. Based on the PAs and PA students I've worked with, I think the career path looks very attractive, but I can't afford to start over. Any thoughts on this kind of transfer/credit swap/which schools might consider such a thing would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Your medical school credits won't count in a PA school also it's highly likely most won't take you when they find out your quitting medical school.

Also why not finish medical school(clinicals are easier than didactic) and do an a residency that is not ultra strenuous or do a one year internship and be a GP( I know jobs are few and far between but they are there if you search)

Also if you can't handle medical school clinicals you won't be able to handle PA ones.....

I am sorry for the personal problems you are going through.
Unfortunately there is no PA program that will do what you are requesting--you WOULD have to start over. I know it seems ludicrous to repeat it all (trust me, I'm going the opposite direction as PA to DO) but it's just the way the programs are set up.
I too advise that you finish med school, do at least an internship so you can get licensed then reevaluate.
Good luck to you.
