Unfortunately, despite what arguments you may have heard from various medical practicioners...earning an MD is better than an DO.
Osteopathic schools are normally considered fall backs schools who will give you similar training and roughly the same income relative to your specialty. It's no different than switching to Denistry to earn roughly $100,000/yr because you couldn't get the MD and were affraid to go for the DO or Podiatry - due to some social stereotype.

P.S. Sounds harsh, but if you really wanted the MD, you could earn it if you gave it all you had. I did.
