If you really wann get in dds ,,then why u wanna do mds? try to make ur profile better here..like part 2 if not given.. and do some observorship here or get some masters like public health here in u.s and keep on applying..try to get in some research.i have seen few mds here too who have been applying for a long time and still not getting.. i mean to say that they are in the same boat as a bds is...instead of doing mds and applying again..just do something here...and apply. that is my opinion.

Thanks for your reply . I really appreciate to see atleast one response to my difficulty.
I completed BDS 9 years ago. Part 1 -81 part2 -77

Work exp 6+ years after graduation
Can u please suggest whether I Have any chances here.

you know u applied in AEGD prog where they definately need experienced candidate..apply in every univ for dds..whether its a three year prog or two. whether they have 100 seats or 1.. u never know for some univ u might be the right candidate..u can know that only wqhen u apply.. i have seen mds people trying for dds too but hard for them too get in some univ. coz every univ think differently.gud luck.

Could you please suggest me the schools that will consider me with my stats?
Also do u think I should do some masters and then apply rather than trying directly.

Hi I am a dentist from India with an MDS degree in Endodontics. My scores however haven't been great in either BDS or MDS. I scored an aggregate of 55.75 in BDS and 60 in MDS (minimum pass marks being 50 in both). I have one year experience as a consultant endodontist since my PG got over and have been a senior lecturer since March 2015. I also have done a 2 week certificate course in current concepts in american dentistry from NYU, New York. I am not sure about the GPA scenario and I have a feeling based on my marks my GPA won't be good. I am planning on taking NBDE part I in 3 months but is it really worth it or is my GPA going to ruin my chances of getting accepted into any dental school there? I took TOEFL in March 2014 and score 102 in it.

Please let me know your views on this. I would appreciate any and every advice I get from you guys. Thanks a lot!
