So I'm currently waitlisted at 3 schools and am trying to be proactive and apply to a few masters programs and other post-bacc programs in case I don't get in this year. My main concern is that I'm writing a personal statement for post-bacc programs at the same school I'm waitlisted for med school at...how do I sell myself to the post-bacc admissions committee without it coming across as not being prepared and hurting my chances of getting in med school? I was told members of the med school admissions committee are often the same people reviewing the med-focussed post-bacc applications.

EDIT: Should I just submit my AMCAS PS?

Hi brightknight, when I applied to post baccs, I modified my AMCAS personal statement. I decided to highlight why I thought that participating in the program would improve my application and why I thought I could do better then than I did in college. If the program is good, you should get an advisor who can go over your PS and see if it reads well. Depending on whether you apply again immediately or wait. Good luck with the rest of your cycle.
