Med school vs residency

No not at all. Completely different requirements for med school and residency admission. After you are in med school no one cares about your undergrad grades, MCAT or premed stuff. Go to whatever school and be happy your there, do well and you'll get into the residency you want.
 
Records of applicants aren't generally kept that long and they aren't provided to residency programs, IMHO. Even if they were, as noted above, the requirements are different for medical school and residency, so I wouldn't worry about it.
