Hi,

Does anyone know which schools or a website that discuss med schools which have accepted or have a higher acceptance rate of re-entry students. e.g. folks who haved worked in industry or academia for 5+ years, etc.

Thanks,
James

Hey James,
Try www.oldpremeds.org (you will find a preponderance of second career premeds). If you want to stay in California, UCSF and UC Davis tend to be more open to older, nontraditional students. (Although, I must say, I was very surprised to find out I am not the oldest person in my class here at UCLA).
Case Western Reserve also takes a fair amount of older students.

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions about applying as a second-career nontraditional student--I used to live in San Francisco (and worked in the dept of psychiatry at SFGH) before I migrated south for med school, and I have no regrets about switching careers. :luck:
