I would like to have a PDF of some textbooks to print out specific pages to carry on the wards. The publishers don't offer anything except some PDA apps that I'm not interested in.

Any recommendations for places to download a book? This is not to download a book I do not already own.

Don't know where to download them, but some of my books have online versions you can unlock with a code from the physical textbook. It's less than ideal, but you can log in and view the pages/save pages or images that are relevant to what you want them for.

Get a PDF printer (plenty available and many are free) which will print pages from your online text. After you have converted then to PDF,you can print whatever you want or carry them on your I-PAD/POD where ever.
