Medical Condition Code on face of Prescription

If a prescription is written for a C2 substance more than a 30 day supply and it does not state the medical condition or "code x" written, can the Pharmacist call the MD and verify the medical condition and/or write the code him/herself? This would be in New York State...

You need verification from the prescriber, but yes, you can add it. You can also edit it if they wrote the wrong one.
