I got a free Stedman's (dictionary) for a 4-yr membership to my state medical society and the AMA. The memberships were cheaper than the dictionary! If you can swing this, you'll also get a subscription to JAMA... an invaluable resource for any med student.

I liked Stedman's - both pocket and desk top models. They're all about the same so pick whichever one fits your pocket and pocketbook. 😀
