It's good practice to let your school know in advance. Most of us don't like surprises and are more likely to revoke an acceptance if you are not upfront with these situations.Long story short, the day before thanksgiving 2019, I was stopped by a state trooper for going 84mph on the highway and the speed limit was 60mph (it was super early, and I was running late to work). He charged me with a ticket for "reckless operation" which in the state of Louisiana is a misdemeanor. that you can't pay off and have to go to court for. On December 23rd 2019, I got into medical school. My life long dream finally came true , yet ive still had so much anxiety about this ticket. I did my background check which was clear because i have a perfect record. Currently I'm supposed to have court on January 29th. If i am convicted, and it goes on my record, do you think medical school would revoke my acceptance? My record is 100% clean. Absolutely nothing, and ive been driving for 7 years. Thank you for the advice 🙂
