Can anybody recommend any books along the lines of "How to get into Medical School" that were useful to them? Just looking for the basic guidelines or "insider secrets".

Thanks in advance!

Here are some resources for you.

This link gives very brief, but informative information on the process. It also gives some pointers. And, it's free!

This one is for the Medical School Admission Requirements book, a must-have for virtually all applicants. It is packed full of information, it's well worth the $25.

This is a book I read before my freshman year. It was pretty good.

I've read and recommend both of the above, especially the official AAMC book. However, you might not need to buy it. At my school, we have a premed library where you could browse through the books as often as you like. Definitely check the free resources (libraries) first.

Thanks for the prompt responses!

I do have that MSAR book from AAMC--a must have!

Thank you for that practical list as well!

Anybody else have suggestions?
