What kind of interview questions do they ask at columbia and NYU? I have heard that they ask weird questions like would you ever date in medical school lol. Also they ask medical questions about the state of NY even if you don't live there. What have yall experienced?

I'd go look at the "Interview Feedback" section of SDN. Then look up NYU. If it's like a lot of other school's, people will have filled out a thing about their experience, and that includes types of questions. Read a bunch of them (if not all) to get an idea of what might be asked.
