Has anyone seen the UVA Medical Specialty Test?

It's like a personality test to see which medical specialty you fit in with. I know this is more for MD/DO than us, but I found it very interesting to take, since there are so many emerging specialties in VetMed. I just inserted "clients/animals" whenever they said "patients." My top 5 were

1. Pathology
2. Neurology
3. Nuclear Med
4. Radiology
5. Thoracic Surgery

I feel strangely validated Although I HATE radiology....

2 general surgery
3 radiology
4 orthopaedic surgery
5 obstetrics/gynecology

I would NEVER do radiology or OB/GYN, however, the rehabilitation and surgery (especially ortho) is right on.

And family practice and peds are way down on my list. Definitely true! and path is way down there too 😉

I just can't see myself doing aerospace vet med somehow..... surgery or preventative med I can see. Did anyone else keep getting the same questions over and over?

Yeah, I think they repeat questions to make sure you are answering somewhat consistently

Eerrrggghh--for me, dermatology was #1!!! Are you KIDDING?? No freakin' way. However, I had like twelve that were all within two points of each other, so I don't think my results are even worth posting.

Anesthesiology wasn't even in my top ten, but neuro was...yay!

So... We have a GI exam on Monday...boo... And if Histo is any indication of how Path will be -- I'm going to have to scratch both GE and Path off of this list. That leaves Ophtho (LOVE me some eyes) and surgery (LOVE me some surgery).

I am indeed interested in both neurology and endocrinology, but not surgery. I could see being an internal med vet. But perpetually itchy, flatulent dogs...no thanks.
