The Dermatology Research and Education Foundation is looking for a medical student in San Antonio who is interested in dermatology and would be interested in volunteering at the 2nd Annual Dermatology Refresher Symposium on April 8-10, 2022 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk in San Antonio, Texas. We would need them onsite April 8 and 9 from 6am-5pm. We would cover their parking and meals for both days. We could also help them network with the faculty. A medical student based elsewhere in Texas could still work.

Sounds kind of predatory with no real upshot. A program director is not going to remember the med student who helped set up the chairs in an auditorium.

Translation: We’re holding a refresher course for Derm PAs/NPs where we charge hundreds of dollars per CME participant so we can pay the MD faculty speaker fees…but we would love a desperate medical student to volunteer: payment will be a line on your CV absolutely no one will care about.

Locking as the event has passed and as others have mentioned, the "opportunity" appears predatory.

Lesson for medical students: not all exposure opportunities are worth it
