Tried using the search funtion before posting this, it deserves 👎 👎

Anyhow, can anyone recommend a somewhat decent medical terminology book? I'm not looking for anything with exercises/practice questions in it, just something that provides some etymology, perhaps some history on the word, something along those lines. I have a medical dictionary and it's decent -- sometimes it'll provide the root words. Basically looking for a med term. reference book.

Google.com works for me!

I'm looking for a BOOK. Not in front of a computer most of the day, at a desk.

Stedmen's??

I know that's a medical dictionary, the one given by the AMA to new signer-uppers.

yup, stedman's is the standard for us students... you might want something more advanced for a particular specialty
